Anyone interested in this school should start by looking into just what the Montessori method is and what its goals are. Maybe the most striking aspect of this method (for this public school grad) is the amount of faith that the faculty have in the children to learn and grow.
VMS at Bluemont is a wonderful community that we have been profoundly fortunate to be a part of, and we have seen the impact of the school on the way our girls conduct themselves. I know the school is having an effect when I see the my girls' classmates in a social setting with other kids. The contrast can be pretty remarkable.
