I can not say enough good things about Red Barn, but I'll try! Last year I bought a junker bike from a thrift store (as a commuter bike) and Robert got it in perfect working order on the cheap, helping out a recent college graduate get to work every day. I can't thank him enough for that. Then my girlfriend, who had bought a bike from Robert 5 years ago, came with me one time to the shop and he instantly remembered both her name (from meeting her once) and knew exactly which bike she had bought from him 5 years ago!
Fast forward to present day: I was looking for a road bike and Robert said there might be a used bike available for me to buy but that he had promised it to another person first and if they decided not to get it then it was mine. Unfortunately the other person bought the bike. . . But then, Robert - being the awesome and helpful person that he is - decided that wasn't fair to me, so he gave me a REALLY good deal on a NEW bike of the exact same model, and had it ready for me only a couple days later!
Robert could have done nothing, and I could have bought another bike that was a great bike but not the bike I wanted. He could have done nothing like any other bike shop would have and that would have been that. But he did do something about it because Red Barn is different. He cares about his customers, he cares about their experiences both with Red Barn and riding their bikes and he does everything to make sure you get exactly the bike you want. I will never, ever go to any other bike shop, seriously, he's that good. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Barn. Plus, the definitely have the coolest jerseys and socks around.
