Damascus Town Police Department

I am a Climber and Photographer, After climbing the Trestle Bridge in the middle of Damascus, VA more than 40 times, I was confronted by the Police. It's not that this happened that bothered me, in fact, I expected it. However, the Officer who confronted me was quite honestly a jerk, yelling in a rude tone "Get down!" and another officer, who was slightly calmer said "That is just not allowed!". Why am I upset at this? Because, I could have just been a suicide jumper ready to take my own life. If I was one, I have no doubt in my mind that their condescending behavior would have urged me to jump right then and there. If the Department reads this, please, use more compassion with those you serve and "protect".

I think you all should be ashamed of what you are doing to the officer and his canine partner! How in the world could any decent human being, auction off a dog who has given so much service to the community? The Mayor, Jack McCrady must have some sort of an ax to grind with this man! Don't take it out on the dog! He BELONGS WITH HIS HANDLER AND HE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A DIME FOR HER!!! Pathetic excuse for town leadership!
