I have been going to this office/doctor for over a year now and for the most part I never had any issues until yesterday March 6, 2018. When I arrived for my appointment at 8:15 I had to wait more than 15 minutes before I was seen or at least call to go in the office. Once in the office, I had my blood pressure check and was asked what was pain level at; I replied with one word, Nine. The assistant left and later in cane Kiersten Mills. I updated her on how the meds were doing and we decided that I would change the dose on one of the meds; she left to get my new prescriptions. After about 10 minutes of waiting then came the assistant telling my that the pharmacy is telling her that I haven’t refilled my prescription for Nucynta ER. I advised her that the prescription for filled on or around January 18. I am not sure why the pharmacy is giving you all that information. Then she asked if I still had the bottle that the medicine was in? It is March and I have been seen since February and she’s asking for a bottle. I looked at her and replied I do not have the bottle. She replied, can you go home and get it.? Again, I said I DO NOT HAVE THE BOTTLE. ITS GONE, ITS BEEN THROWN AWAY SO HOW CAN I GET THE BOTTLE. Because I was yelling, Kiersten comes back and tells me that I do not have to speak to her like that. And again, I repeated myself once again. Kiersten then says, let me have someone else speak to you. After a minute and thinking about it I got more angry I decided to just leave. So after getting home still upset, I go to the trash to see if the garbage have been picked up and it had not yet. So I begin going through the trash bags to see if prescription bottle was in there; and I was able to find it after several bags of trash. I looked at the bottle and it displayed exactly what I told them (1/21/18). Seeing this took me to another level of angry because I’ve been out of meds for over two weeks now. So it looks like I will NOT be returning to Dr. Winke’s Office for my pain mgmt. therapy nor will I recommend this office to anyone and I will inform every doctor that I go to.
