On a hot day in June one of our heat pumps went out. We called Tyree HCE and within 4 hours somebody was out there. So the response time was pretty good. Fortunately it was an easy problem to diagnose and resolve, so the repair man was in and out with our heat pump working back to normal in exactly 30 minutes.
When we received the bill, he promptly charged us for 2 hours of labor. So I called the next day to inquire about it and it turns out they only have a 1 hour minimum, not two. After informing them of the extra hour on there that was bogus, they agreed to take it off my bill. However, beware, because when I asked what they thought justified that kind of charge, they originally told me that they started counting the time from whenever they leave the last job.
Seriously? I'm glad the previous job wasn't any further away or it might have been a 3 or 4 hour charge. Good quick service, but make sure you study your invoice closely and only pay for the service they provide!
