Primrose school of Ashburn has a friendly staff and is always hosting fun activities for the children. They helped my daughter with a rough transition from an in-home environment to a school environment and have always been understanding and caring. My daughter has made significant progress in the preschool curriculum since starting here - and learns through the fun songs and discussions they have throughout the day to incorporate these learning milestones. Every morning they have "circle time" and talk about the days of the week, the date (and count the days backwards and forwards). I couldn't believe how quickly her counting skills improved just through that activity. In addition they are always doing something fun for the kids - cookies every Friday as they head home (homemade and smelling up the school with deliciousness from first thing in the morning), to a pumpkin patch for Halloween, to a festival each Spring. I have found the other parents to be encouraging and friendly as well and many are involved in school activities creating a very nice "community" feel. The teachers are great and all the teachers get to know all the students and always interact with them in a positive way. Teachers I haven't even seen before greet my daughter by name and ask her specific questions about her day and progress. They also have a CD of songs that we like to call the "magic CD". It comes home with you to sing with your kids at home or in the car - and when we put it on, my kids sing along to it or quiet down just listening to the lyrics. It's amazing. We also love the facility, the school is clean and well maintained and the classrooms are stocked with amazing toys, books and computer activities to advance their learning. We've been very happy with this school so far and feel more and more comfortable the more our daughter transitions.
