This place doesn't even deserve ONE star. The ceilings and walls were extremely weak. I told the management that if a strong storm were to blow through, that would be it. November 2009, we suffered a Nor'easter, and totally ruined my apartment in the living room, dining room, and bedroom. They sent the bigwigs out to survey the premises, but left me without walls in the living room and dining room: MOLD was growing behind the walls. It was well after January 2010 before they came to repair my apartment (only after I threatened to put my rent in escrow). The wind was blowing through the cracks in the bricks because even THEY weren't sealed. This also resulted in my heating bill elevating and a crack in the window (trying to heat my apartment against the frigid cold). Water even began to build up between the window seal and it rusted. Management lost the key to my apartment, and changed the lock, and charged ME for it. I was harassed by the management, and then charged $500 when I moved because they claimed that I had damaged the apartment. I have tried to contact their corporate offices in Richmond, and was met with rudeness and people who are not solution focused. I have go back to Parkwood to ask for an itemized list of what was damaged when I moved; no records can be found, and now my calls are not answered. The $500 was turned over to a collection agency and negatively impacted my credit. Email after email, and call after call unanswered...SIX YEARS LATER! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
