I do not recommend nor will I ever go here again. In fact, I think the state should be aware of this... I took my vehicle in for a state inspection and was told it failed for a tie rod end. They quoted me $370 for the repair which included the $20 part, front end alignment, and labor. I decided to have someone else I know replace the part and was surprised when I was told there was nothing wrong with the tie rod end. I called Mac's to inform them of their mistake and was told by the owner that "my guys don't just make things up." When I tried to explain what part was actually bad he told me that they don't take the tire off the vehicle and apparently they don't look under it either because the problem was very easy to see. Had the mechanics looked behind the wheel they would have seen the problem...which was not the tie rod end. So, when they are able to wiggle a tire, do they just assume that it's the tie rod end (which was incorrect)? And if so, is that not in fact then making things up especially since he admitted they didn't bother to take the tire off anyway....? I'd be happy for the state to investigate this.
Nice People. Had my car inspected and oil changed
