Life Champ Martial Arts- Reston

Two of my kids have been going to Life Champs for over a year now. Bottom line – it is a fantastic program that I recommend to parents looking for an environment where they can send their children to develop the soft skills needed to succeed and get physical exercise/train their bodies. Whereas I have been very happy with the martial arts program itself, I send my children to Life Champs because their instruction is geared towards and their staff works very hard at focusing on the whole person concept. I really do not care if my kids become the next Bruce Lee—although that might be pretty sweet—I do care about the soft skills they are developing, which are needed for their future. My kids go to class 3-5 times per week. During their martial arts lessons the instructors are able to work in a curriculum that develops my kids’ leadership, communication, discipline, and focus skillsets (to name a few of the soft skills). The cost is very reasonable, especially, if you enroll in the leadership program. The leadership program gives your kids the opportunity to participate in extra classes like demo team, leadership class, and weapons training. Like anything in life, you get out of it what you put into it. At first, factoring in the commute into our family’s schedule was a pain, but after a little it becomes normal. At this point I consider it a great return on investment. Lastly, the staff at Life Champs really cares about all of the children there. They know each one of them by name and what makes them tick. It is clear that they want to see the kids grow and that they are more than just a means to an income. You would be hard pressed to find someone who cares more than the Life Champs primary instructor and manager of the Reston facility, Master Ben. If you as a parent are on the fence about whether to try Life Champs out or not, just go down and talk to Master Ben.
