It's taken me a while to write this review because I think the dentist "tries". However, my last visit to his office has bothered me enough that I think it's important enough to post this review.
I was having trouble with a night guard that I received from my previous dentist. I explained the issues I was having to Dr. Kwon and he suggested I switch from a bottom-deck night-guard to a top-deck. I am in school full time and I purposefully function on a tight budget. However, I thought the $280 investment would be worth it based on the dentist's advice.
The fitting of the guard was done by a junior staff member and I think she was just learning how to do the fittings. I didn't think that part was done right but I rolled with the process. When the guard came back from being molded, it did not fit well at all. In fact, it hurt more than the first guard. I brought this to the dentist's attention and was told to schedule a visit. During this visit the dentist listened to my concerns, then took the guard to another room. I think this was to give me the impression he was adjusting the guard. When he came back he asked "how's that". I still felt pain and stated as such; I don't think he actually did a thing to the guard. He said it would take time for me to adjust. I tried the guard for two weeks straight and suffered through some serious pain. I did not adjust and I truly think he didn't make any adjustments to the guard. Honestly, I think the entire molding process should have been done all over. I am still searching for a new dentists, but I am stuck with a pricey night guard that is absolutely useless to me.
I think he may have too many customers to provide adequate time and attention to each customer. So if you are looking for quality over $, go somewhere else. That's my two cents!
