I was actually disappointed with the IHop on Rt. 50. Before my husband died it was one of our favorite places to get away for a good, reasonably priced meal, a clean environment and friendly staff. Today, first time in over a year, stopped in with daughter-in-law. Staff still very friendly and efficient however, 1) spoon in wrapped silver was dirty, not spotty, actually had dried food on it 2) hamburger bun (on a hamburger) had a piece of fried egg stuck on 3) Patty-melt was just a burger on rye bread, a Patty-Melt is supposed to be like grilled cheese 4) ladies room had toilet paper all over the floor which made it look unclean. I know these are small things, but from what I had previously experienced at that location, I started wondering if perhaps it was under new management; something seemed definitely different, and not for the better. When a customer has to say to the apologetic waitress "That's okay, you don't wash the dishes" and "That's okay, you don't cook the food", hmmmmm.
