My husband and I looked for restaurants close to our location for lunch. Nothing planned, just took a chance. We came across Hen Quarter which had their brunch menu outside on their door. We decided to go in, and were asked by the receptionist if we had a reservation. The place appeared at 80% capacity! The receptionist found us a nice table and gave us a menu. As it turned out, my husband and I decided on exactly the same thing - a three egg crab omelette with potatoes. The eggs were the best I’ve ever tasted!!! The crab was like a crab cake consistency, but without being baked or fried. The combination was awesome! The potatoes tasted as if they were dipped in a batter similar to fried chicken! Generally, I ease up on the potatoes because of all the carbs but I couldn’t help myself! I ate the entire omelette and all the potatoes. You ask why I didn’t rate a 5, well I was disappointed in the crab shells inside my omelette. You expect to find a few, but there were too many as far as I was concerned. Regardless, we plan to definitely come back! It was more than worth the trip!!
Great cocktails and fried chicken! Had the classic Manhattan and chicken plate. 1/2 chicken fried perfectly, with collard greens with nice chunks of pork. Awesome and from what I see, fairly kid friendly.
