I got my hair cut at the Hair Cuttery about 9 months ago and was very pleased with the cut, so I decided to return. I have very curly hair, which should be cut dry in order to see the pattern of the curls and so as not to overcut it. However, the stylist I saw this time immediately washed my hair and instantly tried to sell me a different kind of shampoo and product. I figured my hair was just too tangly/greasy/something to cut dry so I went with it. As soon as I sat in the chair, the stylist said something along the lines of "no offense but I can see why you wanted a haircut" and then gathered my hair and lopped the bottom 4 inches off in one fell swoop. It was already shorter than I wanted at that point but needed to be trimmed since she'd cut such a huge chunk off so unevenly. I had also asked for layers, which was flatly ignored. As soon as my hair dried it when I left the salon, it was uneven, poofy, boxy, and unprofessional looking. The stylist did my entire cut in about 10 minutes with little care or precision. My friend who was with me got a slight trim that took about 20 minutes longer and the stylist did an excellent job. I'd say the name of the stylist but she didn't introduce herself. Very disappointed with this cut.
