Potentially saved a family...I received incredible customer service over the last 24 hours from Michael and H&F Service Co. but there is a story that goes with it. First off I called last night and when I explained the problem the company said they couldn't someone out right that moment, but that it was an easy fix that I could do. They walked me through step by step over the phone for free. How often does that happen...? Long story short, I wasn't able to fix it so they promptly set-up an appt. for 8 a.m. the next morning. Michael arrived, got things working again, but based on his 25 years of experience noticed something was a just a little off with the burners. After further investigation he learned that due to recent repairs of my siding the contractors had incorrectly installed the outtake/intake for the heating unit outside of the townhome. It was now sucking in carbon monoxide from the outake back into my heating unit, hence my house. He slowly walked me through what had happened. Bottom line, if I had kept my heater on, there is a chance that my family, dog, and pregnant wife wouldn't be here due to the carbon monoxide. Dramatic, I know, but all true. Luckily the unit kep shutting itself down and Michael was able to troubleshoot this obscure issue which was lifesaving. I'm forever grateful and now have a HVAC service provider that I can trust and plan to continue to use. I plan to share this story with all friends, colleagues, and family.
