Ugh...where do I start? My husband is from this area and we frequent it twice a year or so. We always snack up before entering the nearby interstate. We have been doing this since it opened and could explain why our last visit floored us. In January, I sat in my car in shock as I saw an employee enter the store wet haired and barefoot. Only to be even more shocked when my husband returned smelling of PURE BLEACH!! After rolling down the window in forty degree weather, he said the manly sweatshirt clad store clerk smelled worse than the bleach. It was battle of the most two horrible scents. Before I could mention seeing a barefoot woman enter the store, he added that a barefoot manager and her companion didn't make the situation any better. He said he opted to pay with cash and didn't feel secure swiping!! As a principal, I see children do a lot of crazy things for years and calmly come into their own before graduation. But these were grown women. As women we're taught hygiene, personal and professional etiquette. Although the area is improving, this store was a diamond in the rough. Now it's succumbed to it's surroundings....so sad. Needless to say, its now on our do not stop list.
