Was about to make a wig purchase until the clerk suggested I not leave without wearing a wig...hence I was wearing a wig entering the store. But apon trying on several wigs I forgot my own wig. She commented "you're leaving out just like that"? With (Natural hair) she meant. I started to fit my wig on then I thought about it. Shoved it in my purse and picked my afro. Staring at her I explained that I don't rely on wigs to feel confident. I thanked her for her bigoted comment because she saved me some money and I have fully accepted being a natural, no wig wearing sista. It's time for black women to ban the stero-types that are levied against us and boycott those who do.
